Our Commitment
At Rent-A-Tent, our mission is to provide high-quality tents and camping equipment rentals for outdoor adventures. We are passionate about making camping trips comfortable and enjoyable, and we offer a wide range of the best equipment available to discover New Zealand the best way.
Our team has many years of camping experience and we are dedicated to providing attention to detail and excellent customer service to ensure that you have an enjoyable experience. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to connect with nature and we are committed to making New Zealand road trips accessible, affordable and epic!
Henk had the concept in his mind after years of camping with his wife and wanted to make travelling affordable again. Now, with two sons, he enjoys outdoor adventures and has a growing passion to spread the opportunity to others around the world.
Sebastiaan has life-long camping experience, since early childhood. As a nature-lover, he has travelled all over the world. He is father to two kids, and spends much of his spare time pursuing his passion for camping on trips through-out New Zealand.
Both Henk and Sebastiaan are originally from the Netherlands and moved to Auckland, New Zealand in 2016. Initially only to travel but decided to settle in this beautiful country.
Take this as a warning, you might fall in love with NZ and stay here forever as well!

Kristin has been working in the tourism industry in New Zealand for the past 7 years. She knows all the hot spots and is happy to answer all your questions around what are the best places to visit to make the most out of your travel time in New Zealand. Originally from Germany, she is more than happy to communicate with you in German if you prefer.
Jorge is from Perú and is a camping enthusiast who's explored the hidden treasures of this beautiful country during his 10 years in New Zealand. Based in Christchurch, he is happy to help with any enquiry and make your outdoor experience unforgettable. Feel free to reach out in Spanish or English, he is very happy to assist!
